Die Waldarbeit ist eine körperlich anspruchsvolle Tätigkeit und geht mit intensiven Belastungen des Stütz- und Bewegungsapparates einher. Die Berufsgruppe der Forstwirte ist somit nicht vom, in der heutigen Gesellschaft weit verbreiteten, Risikofaktor Bewegungsmangel betroffen. Vielmehr sind stereotype Bewegungsmuster verantwortlich für die Ausprägung muskulärer Dysbalancen, die wiederum ätiologisch für Rückenbeschwerden sein können. Im Rahmen der vorliegenden Studie wurden zunächst die Bedingungen und Arbeitstätigkeiten bei der Waldarbeit analysiert. Auf der Grundlage eines biopsychosozialen Ansatzes wurde darauf aufbauend eine bewegungsbezogene Intervention für Forstwirte konzipiert. Die Zielsetzung bestand darin, die berufsbedingten Belastungen im Sinne eines sportlichen Ausgleichstrainings zu reduzieren sowie spezifische Gesundheitsressourcen zu stärken. Die Intervention wurde im betrieblichen Kontext für einen Zeitraum von drei Jahren implementiert. Die Evaluation erfolgte anhand ausgewählter motorischer und psychosozialer Parameter sowie einer Analyse des Krankenstandes. Die Ergebnisse verdeutlichen die Notwendigkeit einer bewegungsbezogenen Intervention bei einem Berufsbild mit vergleichsweise hoher körperlicher Belastung und es wurde aufgezeigt, wie eine solche Maßnahme im betrieblichen Kontext langfristig implementiert werden kann.

Heute steht diese Praxis, die Welt der modernen Wissenschaften und ihrer institutionellen Formen mitten im Strom tiefgreifender Veränderungen – Exzellenzinitiativen und Clusterbildung, Studiengebührenfinanzierung und Bologna-Prozess, Wettbewerbsstrukturen, Globalhaushalte und externe Management-Maßstäbe sind hierfür nur einige illustrierende Schlagworte. Den Handlungsdrang der deutschen Hochschulpolitik im Blick gerät naturgemäß auch das Wissenschaftsrecht in Bewegung. Fragen seiner verfassungsrechtlichen Grundierung und seiner verwaltungsrechtlichen Feinzeichnung sind so umstritten wie lange nicht. Das Leitmotiv, ob das heutige Wissenschaftsrecht in erster Linie dem Schutz der individuellen Forschungsleistungen einzelner Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler dient oder ein Baukasten zur Modernisierung der Hochschulen ist, führt wiederkehrend zu den Grundfragen des modernen Öffentlichen Rechts. Diese Entwicklungen vor Augen beging das Institut für Öffentliches Recht an der Juristischen Fakultät der Georg-August-Universität Göttingen seine Neugründung mit einer Arbeitstagung zum Thema „Aktuelle Probleme des Wissenschaftsrechts“. Die Beiträge der Tagung enthält dieser Band. Er ist der erste einer neuen Schriftenreihe zum Öffentlichen Recht.

With new archaeological data and contributions from scholars specializing on both textual and material remains, these different fields of study shed light on how religious identities of the people of the past are defined and identified.

Homosexuality, bisexuality, transgender and queer have long been a sensitive topic in Christian churches. As society has changed, some denominations have become increasingly affirming, while others see the changes as incompatible with Christian values. A Conditional Community is based on in-depth interviews with 29 lgbtq Christians and is the first Swedish scientific study on the subject. Using a phenomenological approach, the author investigate how sexuality, intimacy and faith are experienced by the interviewees and how their Christian identity interacts with their identity as lgbtq people. A Conditional Community is aimed at teachers, researchers and students in fields such as religious studies, sexology, gender studies and psychology. The book is also of interest to professionals who require knowledge on the subject, such as pastors and therapists. Furthermore, it can serve as a basis for discussions and reflection on faith, sexuality and lgbtq in the Free Church contexts.

Genom att anlägga ett kunskapshistoriskt perspektiv åskådliggör författarna hur humanister befann sig mitt i välfärdssamhällets kultur och politik, medier och bokmarknad, idédebatt och utbildningsväsende.
I centrum för boken står 1960- och 1970-talens offentlighet. I en första del belyses hur humanister spelade en avgörande roll i den unga televisionens folkbildningsprogram liksom i tidens populärvetenskapliga pocketboksutgivning och på dagstidningarnas essäsidor. There is a strong narrative on how the humanities were marginalized in postwar Sweden: in the land of engineers, technocrats and social scientists, there was no room for erudition, philosophy and history. This book challenges such a notion and shows how clearly the humanities were present in the public sphere of the time. By applying perspectives from the history of knowledge, the authors illustrate how humanists were key figures in the welfare society’s culture and politics, media and book market, education and intellectual debate.
At the heart of the book is the public sphere of the 1960s and 1970s. In a first part, the authors highlight how humanists played a decisive role in the young television’s educational program as well as in the popular science paperback publishing of the time and on the essay pages in the newspapers. In a second part, attention is drawn to the humanities’ place in the Christian cultural sphere, the labour movement’s education work and the New Left’s book cafés. We meet people like Per I. Gedin, Gunnel Vallquist and Jan-Öjvind Swahn, but also TV producers, study circle organizers, translators of radical non-fiction and many others. They all helped to set humanistic knowledge in motion during the postwar decades.
Against an international background, the image of a humanistic knowledge system with deep roots and wide connections in Swedish society emerges. It is about these actors and arenas of knowledge that this book is about.

The book focuses on intangible and tangible heritage, language and vernacular religion of the Ingrians, Setos and Votes, three Finnic ethnic minorities sharing a long-standing identification with the Russian Orthodox faith. Written by 16 authors, the chapters are mainly based on nineteenth- and twentieth-century materials. The research history and collecting of folklore are also discussed.
The historical area of the Ingrians and Votes is located in Ingria, adjacent to St. Petersburg, while the Setos have inhabited both sides of the border of southern Estonia and Russia. All three groups live on the borderline of the Eastern and Western Churches and cultural realms.
Currently, the Ingrian and Votic languages are extremely endangered, while the Seto language has approximately 12,000 speakers. There is a high local interest in the maintenance and revitalisation of all three languages and cultural traditions.

Die Beiträge des Sammelbands bieten einen kaleidoskopischen Blick auf innovative Forschungsfragen und -instrumentarien laufender oder abgeschlossener Qualifikationsprojekte im Wissenschaftsbereich Deutsch als Fremd-/Zweitsprache. Unter anderem werden Studien aus der Textverstehensforschung, der critical needs analysis, der sozialwissenschaftlichen Diskursanalyse, der empirischen Didaktik und der kulturbezogenen Lernprozessforschung zur Diskussion gestellt. Dem Prinzip der lebendig-bunten Bilderfolge eines Kaleidoskops entsprechend, verzichten die Herausgeber auf eine fachsystematische Einordnung der Beiträge und erheben keinen Anspruch auf eine ‚Kartografie‘ des derzeitigen Stands junger DaF-/DaZ-Forschung. Die Kultur- und Geisteswissenschaften haben in jüngster Zeit die Debatte um sogenannte „Universalien“ neu angeregt: Betrachten wir auch Literatur als „Universalie“, die in jeder Kultur anzutreffen ist, so können wir uns fragen: a) was zeichnet Literatur als anthropologische Konstante aus; b) welche spezifischen Prägungen von „Literatur“ sind in den verschiedenen Sprach-, Zeit- und Kulturräumen anzutreffen – und wie lassen sie sich vergleichen; c) wie ist es der Literatur im Verlauf der Kontaktgeschichte menschlicher Kulturen gelungen, zwischen verschiedenen, oft divergierenden Auffassungen zu vermitteln? Dabei wird auch das weite Feld literarischer Grenzenüberschreitungen und Brückengänge angeschnitten: Übersetzungen, polyglotte oder „interkulturelle“ Literaturen, Reise- und ethnographische Berichte. Which is the identity of a traveler who is constantly on the move between cultures and languages? What happens with stories when they are transmitted from one place to another, when they are retold, remade, translated and re-translated? What happens with the scholars themselves, when they try to grapple with the kaleidoscopic diversity of human expression in a constantly changing world?
These and related questions are, if not given a definite answer, explored in the chapters of this anthology. Its overall topic, narratives that pass over national, language and ethnical borders include studies about transcultural novels, poetry, drama and the narratives of journalism. There is a broad geographic diversity, not only in the anthology as a whole, but also in each of the single contributions. This in turn demand a multitude of theoretical and methodological approaches, which cover a spectrum of concepts from such different sources as post-colonial studies, linguistics, religion, aesthetics, art and media studies, often going beyond the well-known Western frameworks.
The works of authors like Miriam Toews, Yoko Tawada, Javier Moreno, Leila Abouela, Marguerite Duras, Kyoko Mori, Francesca Duranti, Donato Ndongo-Bidyogo, Rībi Hideo, and François Cheng are studied from a variety of perspectives. Other chapters deal with code-switching in West-african novels, border-crossing in the Japanese noh drama, translational anthologies of Italian literature, urban legends on the US-Mexico border, migration in German children's books, and war trauma in poetry. Most of the chapters are case studies, and may thus be of interest, not only for specialists, but also for the general reader.

Die Studie untersucht in Deutschland bestehende Probleme im Bereich der beruflichen Qualifizierung. Sie zeigt Wege zur Ergänzung und Reform des Berufsbildungssystems auf, u.a. mittels einer beruflichen Grundqualifizierung, die den Übergangssektor verzichtbar macht und die Jugendlichen ohne Warteschleifen in Ausbildung und Erwerbstätigkeit führt. Detsamma gäller senare högprestigelitteratur av Torgny Lindgren och P O Enquist. Franska förlag var också bland de första att upptäcka de svenska deckarförfattarna. Rättigheterna till Stieg Larssons Millennium-trilogi köptes av ett franskt förlag innan romanerna hade börjat utges på svenska. Barnlitteraturen däremot, Sveriges kanske främsta bidrag till världslitteraturen, fick ett sent genombrott på den franska bokmarknaden.
